i havent watched it yet but im a huge liv tyler fan...dyou think i might hate her after watching it? where they literaly having sex? i heard there were nudity scenes?!

No. You'll like it; her character is sweet and somewhat innocent. That's what makes it a coming-of-age story.

Some nudity but not too much. I don't want to say too much about the movie but I think you will like it.

Are you going to pull those pistols or whistle "Dixie"?

You will love her even more after watching this movie. She's perfect. The love (sex) scene at the end was done so well--it was perfectly sweet. The only other nude scenes were at the swimming pool & weren't terribly revealing. When Liv exposed one breast while posing for the portrait, it was done very tactfully & fit into the movie very well.
Watch the movie, I promise you'll love it. The whole movie is filmed so beautifully. And Liv comes across as an angel.

Personally the hottest scene didn't even involve sex. The after party scene where Ian is circling Diana.. WOW! He has this intense gaze and then she starts hiking her skirt up. The desire between those two looked real.

In a similar vein the book scene in "The Remains of the Day", where Emma Thompson is flirting with Anthony Hopkins, is quite hot yet nothing comes of it.

I agree, it was the atmosphere, the music and the character's anticipation that makes it so beautiful. The way that Bertolucci shot the scene was so sensual. The flicker of the fire casting shadows on their bodies. The nervousness of their touches. The releif of finally joining. I felt it all. I wanted to see if others could see it how I did. I showed it to some of my friends, and they said it was wack...and why was it over so quickly. I tried to explain the beauty to them, but some people can't see beauty, they are incapable.

I so have to buy this movie sometime. I saw it on tv once and then i had to rent it cuz i didnt see the whole thing. Its a great film. I love the innocence of her and being in italy where everyone is so about life and not about rushing. you know what i mean. and the sex scene wasnt bad either... Can you say replay.

werent they both virgins to start and thats what made the film so special. they shared love for one another and the breaking of the virginity of the story between themselves was just magical and how true love should really work.

Hmm, I didn't like it much. I know it was meant to be awkward because they were both virgins, but I find it actually awkward to watch too, I usually just skip that scene because I like the one just before it ("This is my tree") and after it where he tells her it was his first time too, so much.

It was a great sex scene specifically because it was so realistic. Especially portraying two people whom was inexperienced so the cute little assistance and repositioning and discovering was a added touch with helped with it.

I was in awe. The first Time i saw that Scene i was just in shock as to how well it was put together. I must admit, ever since i saw it now i put the Movie in just to watch that one Scene...after all, it is pretty hot. I don't want to give to much away, but for some Reason i like watching him feeling her up through her Panties.

Just like good sex, the whole film is a huge buildup in anticipation of that moment for Lucy.

I am watching the film now for the 5th time. Liv is still achingly beautiful. I always feel sad afterwards watching this film... go figure!
