Best performance in the history of acting

I came here to post his exact thread. I have never seen any performance even close to Thornton's in Sling Blade. When I saw the film the first time I swore that Billy Bob must be at least close to that character in reality. I just could not really believe it was a performance entirely. It actually took more than one interview as I thought maybe he was acting in the interview. I believed his portrayal of the character more than his actual exhibited personality!

The movie is great, but Billy Bob Thornton's work in it is probably the best I'll ever see.

It is up there, no doubt.
