Do you accept Christ as your lord and personal savior?

One thing I never got is Vanessa asking Bob if he accepts Christ as his lord and personal savior right before she shoots him.

Despite her limited literacy, she probably has some contact with Jack T. Chick pamphlets. Or more likely, when it isn't porn channels on the TV, she watches the Bible belt stuff. It was a hilarious line and scared the hell out of Bob.

It reminded me a little of Death Wish 2 when Kersey (Charles Bronson) asks one of his daughter's rapists if he believes in Jesus (the thug is wearing a crucifix). He replies that he does and then Kersey says, "Well, you're gonna meet him."

She has also decided she will kill him and is offering a chance to make his peace with God before she pulls the trigger. Bob does not exactly know this but is alarmed by a foul-mouthed teenage semi-prostitute's sudden turn to religiosity.

Jack T. Chick shuffled off his mortal coil a few months ago, but his pamphlets will live on, if you like that sort of thing.

I’m a southern Baptist Christian. I just watched the trailer and it had that line in it. I found it absolutely hilarious. The south is the Bible Belt as someone else said. This takes place in the south.
