Im Sorry this is one of JIM Carreys BEST!! 10/10

ok i never got it as a kid, but 10 years later,... i think ben stiller should re-release this, it was just ahead of its time. Haters, try watching it now... its amazing man. The cable guy is utterly insane! I completely got his character, hes just a Complete NuttEr! hahaa... Its well paced, well filmed, Lots of jimbo at his best and wackiness! Its Bonkers man, Probably even more wacky than the ace ventura character. ive never laughed so much at a jimbo film, and i understood his character and felt his pain and anguish and .....oh man..

i do feel that, because it got a bad review years ago, people watched it with a bad expectation and therefore hated it before they watched it. But watch it again with a clear head and make your own judgement...if your a fan of jim carrey, your in for a real treat!!

a masterpeice ... the comedy is in the NOW man

I agree. I loved it when it came out when I was like 11 years old. I rented it and re watched it about a month ago and man I was dying laughing at all kinds of stuff. Great movie. I don't get people's problems with this movie at all, but there are also plenty of people that love this movie

This is definitely Jim Carey's best movie and only Jim Carey could play that role. Nobody else could play The Cable Guy role. Look at all the big names in this movie or help create it... Jim Carey, Ben Stiller, Jack Black, Owen Wilson, Janeane Garofalo, Andy Dick, Judd Apatow, etc. This comedy belongs in my top 3 with Meet the Parents and The 40 Year Old Virgin.

I was one of those people who wasn't into it when it first came out.
I think I was one of those people that wasn't ready for a dark, creepier Jim Carrey back then.
Yes-now it friggin' cracks me up-nonstop I tell you!
One side note-one of the reasons I love the karaoke scene is because, look at those people at the party-with the exception of Heather. LOSERS!! LOL!!
They look just like the losers I see come into the grocery store I work at who come into the store not to shop, but to mope around aimlessly and make bad conversation with employees or other unwilling customers because you can tell nobody else ever talks to them! LOL LOL!
And the Medieval Times scene is one of the funniest god damn scenes from a movie I've ever seen!-From start to finish!

spot on, anything with jim carrey from the 1990s is sure fun, and the cable guy is a riot, his "friend" role though is like 90 minutes of playing an off putting prick, but no matter how off putting the guy in the restaurant dating his girl was, he did not deserve what happened to him in that bathroom, jack black interacting with carrey is a lot of fun, and what a tiny part charles napier has, playing a police among the odd group of friends the cable guy has gathered, the hot girl was probably someone the cable guy had just set up to get a photograph of the friend with to use to hold over him. during the fight at the arena i thought the guys running in with weaponry were actually there to intervene. if you only watch carrey's later corny movies with the exception of "dumb and dumber to", you wouldn't know what a riot he was during the mid to late 1990s in movies like this, "ace ventura", "dumb and dumber", "the mask", "me, myself and irene" to then begin starring in family friendly romantic comedies. kind of took the same turn as eddie murphy's career i guess.

turned off charm,
act like british snob,
no longer cheering me up,
this sucks,
miss smile and playfulness,
longing for yesterday.
