Much better than its reputation suggests

I think the Tremors sequels have a really bad rep for being the essential bad direct-to-DVD horror franchise, but Tremors 2 is legitimately pretty good. not better than T1, but incredibly solid and immeasurably better than 99% of direct-to-DVD horror movies. this one actually feels like it could've played in theaters, and it probably should've. it's a solid 7/10

agreeds. it is solid sequel.

REPUTATION WITH WHO?...THE TREMORS FRANCHISE AS A WHOLE IS A LOT OF FUN...THE ORIGINAL AND AFTERSHOCKS ARE LEGIT GOOD FLICKS. NOEMOJI

these movies are constantly being poked fun at. the jokes about kevin bacon not wanting to return to tremors 2 are probably more popular than the movie itself is.

THAT IS NOT TRUE...LOTS OF TREMORS FANS...MYSELF INCLUDED...WE ALWAYS ENJOY ANOTHER CHAPTER AS LONG AS MICHAEL GROSS IS BACK FOR MORE. NOEMOJI

i wanna live where you live. i just got done trying to tell someone that no, tremors 2 is NOT a guilty pleasure, but a legitimately well made movie. he was just like "okay...riiiight..."

THE FILM SERIES IS A GUILTY PLEASURE...THE FIRST AND SECOND FILMS IN THE SERIES ARE BOTH LEGITIMATELY GOOD FILMS...AFTERSHOCKS WAS INTENDED FOR THEATERS DESPITE IT'S DIRECT TO VIDEO RELEASE. NOEMOJI

Yeah, just another one of those horror sequels (Predator 2, 28 Weeks Later) that get overshadowed by a far superior prequel, so I didn't quite appreciate it until enough time had passed.

Here though, I think it's even easier to see, cause as you pointed out, the franchise got pretty low. Actually, I still do enjoy three and four as guilty pleasures. But anything beyond that dropped way too low for me to even appreciate.
