I certainly thought so. I think it was love at first sight for both of them even as they were thrown into this deadly hunt for a human-alien hybrid who could be a threat to mankind, and they certainly might have gotten into a relationship at the end of the movie (despite it not being shown or implied on screen)

It worked.

They had very good chemistry and so much, they should've never made sequels to this movie ruining that.. This should've been a mere standalone movie
