His acting was over the top, but watchable. They did a fantastic job with the special effects considering the era it was made in where there was very limited technology.

No remake or sequel can top this.

I agree completely. I always loved Robin Williams, and I always loved this movie. Wonderful story, great actor.

Yes I recently re-watched it thinking it was one of those fond childhood memories.. but no, pleasantly surprised that it's a good lil movie!
