They don't make em like they used to

The stunts, stunt choreography, martial arts choreography, and editing (editors are so overlooked and underrated, and let me tell you, this one was excellent!) are pretty much the best I've seen in a film. Filmmakers, look to Rumble in the Bronx as to how to shoot an action picture! Everything was real; no bull s hi t super-close up shaky photography during the fights or hyper-flashy editing, no bungee cords or harnesses. All the stunts were done in camera as you saw them, and it makes sense that so many of the performers (including Jackie of course) got hurt and broke bones during filming. You can't make an omelet without breaking a few eggs. That's the problem with current films; no-one is willing (except for some obscure stunt doubles) to really take physical risks and sacrifice themselves for great entertainment. In the old westerns you would see guys jump off horses and tumble down cliffs with no safety harnesses or cushions or anything.

I have so much respect for Jackie for his talent and selfless accomplishments in cinema. I would love to see gritty, real action/martial arts in film again and not what looks like a candy-coated videogame (watch Transporter 3 for a good example of that)

Agreed, if anyone asks me about legendary Karate/Kung-Fu movies..I say: "Enter the Dragon," but my favorite has to be "Rumble in the Bronx"!
