Two that come to mind

"YULE TIDE!"

"I don't believe in sh*t, until sh*t happens." - Bernie Mac

reply

Arthur- "Oooh he's just no good without his head!"

reply

Tick: You've got to suck that lozenge

-and-

Arthur: Tick, you really ate that bread into submission

I liked when Tick got to ask one question to the giant statue of his head, and one question alone...

"So uhh...how's it going?"

*giant thumbs-up rises from the sand*

I love any episode with Taft in it.

From "That Mustache Feeling"

Tick: It's... Taft!
Taft: Darn right.
Tick: Taft, what are you doing here?
Taft: I live next door.
Backup singers: Right next door!
Taft: Neil's my neighbor.
Backup singers: Good neighbor!
Taft: Feeds my cats when I'm away.
Backup singers: Feed those kitties!

"The weed of crime bears bitter fruit, you old hag!!!"

reply

"I never knew I could learn so much! Now, to RETAIN IT!!"

reply

It's been years since I've seen The Tick, so my quotes may not be spot on, but here are my favourites.

Interviewer: How strong are you? Could you destroy the world?
The Tick: Destroy the world? Good god man! Why would I want to, that's where I keep all my stuff!

And
"Get off my plane Blue Monkey!"

reply

From "the big nothing"

When the Whats reveal their true form:

Tick: You're ugly with a capitol UG!
What: I wish we could say that on our planet, we're considered to be quite beatiful... but frankly... we're dogs.

reply

I believe it was the Infinity Ball episode (or a similar name, I can't recall and my VHS tapes rarely start "on time" for the episodes) - the one with the Whats and the Heys space aliens. Y'know, when they hook up Arthur to the fear drive and horrify him to go lint warp - but the "lint warp" banter has been quoted multiple times, and the line that's entered into my entire family's random mentions category is toward the end (probably getting it a little wrong):

"The leader of the Heys is in there giving his farewell to everything speech!"
<brief shot of the alien at a podium with a glass of water, delivering his speech>
"Hey hey, hey hey hey hey hey hey, hey hey, hey, hey hey hey, hey hey..."

That whole episode was just so delightfully absurd, even for The Tick.

I'm also a fan of the Human Bullet's "FIRE ME BOY!" line used in several episodes, and the entire "vision quest" segment of the Proto Clown episode was just genius. I actually hurt after watching that episode, I laughed so much and so hard.

"You're not going crazy, Arthur, you're going sane in a crazy world!"

I've learned that it's OK to be flawed - Winona Ryder

Two from the same episode "The Tick vs The Idea Men"
The first is not spoken, but rather just the wonderful anti-climax of having to write down your long-winded speech in a few short words, in a short time, because nobody can understand you:

"Give money, or blow dam. Flood City."

The second is The Tick having had enough of not understanding his foes:

"ENUNCIATE!"

Quidquid Latinae dictum sit, altum viditur.

reply

In "The Tick vs. Arthur's Bank Account"

Tick shows the Mayor the "Tick Signal"

Mayor: "Every time we flash the Die Fledermaus signal, he disconnects his phone and leaves town for the week"

reply

From "The Tick vs. The Uncommon Cold":

Thrakkorozog (upon seeing Arthur gone): Hey! What's happening here?!
Thrakkorozog's Roommate: The little bunny guy was chafing himself on the ropes, so I loosened 'em up a bit.
Thrakkorozog: You WHAT?! He's a moth guy, and how many times do I have to say it?! DON'T TOUCH MY STUFF! This is my side of the living room and that is your side of the living room! And must you drink straight out of the milk carton?! It's DISGUSTING!

From "The Tick vs. Arthur's Bank Account"

Handy: Even now, he sulks like Achilles in his tent! (other villains look at him, perplexed) Achilles? It's "The Iliad"?! It's Homer?! READ A BOOK!
