Did the hot chocolate cause Scott’s transformation?

Wonder if there is something that Judy puts in the hot chocolate that is the catalyst for his physical transformation into Santa Claus. It is interesting to note as well that the season 2 finale of The Santa Clauses reveals the mug Scott drinks from is the source of the Santa powers, so this may be what literally turns him into Santa Claus.
