Saw it on AMC. I was surprised that of all the things that I’ve heard about it over the years, no one ever mentioned that it was a silent film.

How is it a silent film? Nothing against silent films but this for sure isnt one and it's one of the best films ever made.

Probably because AMC edited all the language 😂

Ha. I've never actually watched this film once on any cable network. I'll only watch this film when aired on television if it's on memberships like HBO, Cinemax, etc.

This movie wouldn't work if it was edited.

Definitely not. Try watching The Wolf of Wall Street on cable. The editing is extremely choppy on that film when aired on cable networks. The only network I can think of that actually doesnt censor anything is IFC.

It was horrible. It looked almost like a dubbed Japanese film with all the muted parts during dialog.

You mean you can't hear the agony in Marsellus Wallace's voice when he's getting butt raped on the AMC cut version? Such a shame... that would totally kill the movie in my view.

He didn't get raped in this version. Zed just gave him a wedgie (off camera of course because it's bullying)
