If there ever was a movie…

That had all the ingredients to be good but failed, it’s this one. I wonder if it had been made in the 80’s, would Chevy have been less dumb and more like his other characters where he’s a smart guy who does dumb things occasionally (Fletch and Vacation). He just acts like an idiot here and it’s too goofy. Palance would’ve been better if he could cuss or be a real type who doesn’t give a shit. Overall it’s watchable but it’s such a miss for what could’ve been.
