Thats not the point of this topic. The point of this topic is to clarify to morons who believe what Hopper said like the stupid Goomba's did in the movie. Like there are literally people who think the moors are black (even in this topic) and gave Sicilians black traits because of this scene and movie. They are so stupid, they take their history lessons from movies.

Missing the point. His dad was just trying to provoke them. Italians, especially Sicilians, are hilariously racist and have always found black people to be scum. He was just trying to insult them in a way that would hit them the hardest. It doesn't matter if it was or wasn't accurate. He just wanted the most violent reaction possible from them. He knew they were going to kill him. In a final moment of fatherly protectiveness he wanted to make sure they did it before he gave in to torture and tipped them off to where he was going.
