Sanderson sisters saved Max and Danny's relationship

After millions of viewings, I now came to the conclusion that if it wasn't for the Sanderson sisters, Max and Danny would have probably maintained their bad relationship. In the beginning of the movie, you could tell they had difficulties connecting with each other (Max was about to let an 8 year old girl go out in the middle of the night trick-o-treating by herself where there are violent high school boys getting ready to steal her candy). However, after getting into the whole ordeal with those old, evil witches, the two siblings finally saw themselves coming back together and it's beautiful to see their bond with each other now. Thank you Sanderson sisters! God Bless!

Yeah, the whole point of the movie is that, in facing and defeating the Sanderson sisters, they were brought together and forced to resolve their issues. It's even possible that, had they not done so, not only would they have continued their sour relationship, but someone else might've lit the black-flame candle and they all would've died.

Wrong, I think you are exaggerating the lows of their relationship when in actuality their relationship was nothing but pure normal sibling older brother-annoyed-by-little-sister bickering and even if their relationship was as you say "sour", the witches would not be responsible for saving it because Max and Dani had already made peace after getting their candy jacked.

Not wrong hyljason. Not wrong.

I agree, it's common for older siblings to be easily annoyed by younger ones, and most teenagers dislike being assigned to babysit or escort younger siblings, particularly when they could be out enjoying themselves and being cool. So yes, the Sanderson Sisters Crisis improved the sibling relationship, which wasn't terrible before, there were no more than a normal level of family tensions.

I've known families where older siblings are made into caregivers for younger siblings whether they like it or not, and in my experience older siblings absolutely suck as caregivers. They may feel affection but never as much as a parent does, they tend to use harsh methods to keep the little ones in line because they don't know how else to maintain control, or take out resentment of the situation on the younger siblings, not the parents who created the situation.
