Romance and sexual chemistry? Um,...

just NO. I can do without the overt-ness! Sure, we always WONDERED if they would, or did 'get together', but that's just it. I am not liking the coupling. It is bogging down the overall story.

They've been shown together countless times during the past 10 seasons.

I agree, no thanks.

Love interests are always BORRRRRING

reply

Yep, I can do without it.

You'll probably have to get used to it to a degree. They've settled into a relationship that they're mostly comfortable with. We know they pine for something more, but in all honesty, they've been a couple/partners for 25 years now. This is who they are.

What we might see is a more formalized commitment to each other. The wildcard will be William.
I posted this years ago on Frank Spotnitz's Big Light site, and it played out partly in season 10 and now going in to 11 we'll see how William plays.

You are right that they ARE a couple, they shown this. But, I have to disagree. I don't want to see a enhanced version of a Scully/Mulder romance. They ARE committed to one another but I still assert , I do not want to see it! I don't have to see it to believe they are a couple.

It really makes me cringe.

Me too!
