I can't stand that haircut they forced on her.
I guess they were trying to make her look tough and stand out, but her character at roots was a mega miss priss until that random change of heart near the end. They should have left her hair alone and let her wear a pony tail.
She looks a million times better with her natural hair.

Her haircut looked great.
Longer hair would have gotten in the way and made her prissy, even a ponytail. It would have been pointless to saddle her with long hair in this movie.

shareI think she looks great whatever hairstyle. Besides, I think after the big hair of the 80s and early 90s, that type of short 'mushroom' style was starting to be in fashion, so I don't think it contradicted her 'Miss Priss' persona. Plus, as prissy as she may have been, she was hanging out with some shady rock-star types at the beginning so she may already have strayed from her prissy roots (she says she'd done a lot of stupid things in her life, so I like to think she was a girl from a good home who'd probably gone a little wild and got caught up with a bad crowd).
