You don't bleed to death from an eye injury; not even close. Also, you aren't knocked unconscious from an eye injury; again, not even close.

It couldn't. Also, it's not even believable that it hit his eye at all, unless he has zero reflexes, which isn't believable either. That big turn-around swing of hers left plenty of time for him to turn his head and put his hands in front of his face, which would have been reflexive.
