Like a lost Karate Kid sequel.
"Sidekicks" is much better than "The Next Karate Kid."

I just watched it a couple of nights ago and that's the first time I've seen it in about 25 years. It's amazing how many elements of The Karate Kid they "borrowed."
You have a weak kid who learns karate to defend himself from bullies. You have a Miyagi-type figure. You have a John Kreese-esque villainous sensei. You have a Johnny Lawrence type. And it all culminates in a showdown at a karate tournament.
It's nearly criminal.
