shareI liked it. Many pieces in it made me smile. But I was certainly entertained. Nice photography. Although the film has faded on the TV airing that I have seen of the film.

was OK though think dinotopia is much better both versions.
i've seen the 1920's and 1960's version, this was obviously a more juvenile like version, that's probably why this version contains a young kid in the story as well, it's a tv movie and you get what you can expect from a tv movie's sort of special effects, the dinosaurs basically looks like dolls (like the jim henson comment here) and the set like the flintstones or that 1990's sit com with dinosaurs, this differs (besides the kid put into the plot) in the way that it throws in some animal rights issues and just as the 1960's version it starts as the 1920 version but then takes a different turn later into the movie, i had never heard of any of these flicks made before the modern well known movie, i can't believe how many versions there are and why they are so rare to come across, i've never seen any of them air or easy to access, king kong though, which seem to have been developed from this lost world tale, have been much more available (on home video releases and tv airings) right from the 1930's version and onwards, strange considering one is about dinosaurs and the other a giant ape, reading around this board i had no idea this had a sequel as well. this must have been an early role for the sit com actor, and john rhys-davies seem to be an appreciated actor who has starred in many low quality movies and done much voice work like "the twilight zone radio dramas" and a flintstones christmas special.

The effects are terrible but the movie itself is entertaining.
