Did Kit & Dottie have a falling out

Cause when they met at the reunion they were so stunned to see each other, like they’d been apart since the big game.

Just saw it again. They didn't look stunned, just happy and loving. If there was surprise, it was probably because Dottie had to be pushed into going to the reunion.

I don't believe they've been estranged, but then at the end of the baseball year it was clear that they were going to lead very different lives in different regions from then on.

Dottie's daughter mentions "Aunt Kit" in a way that felt like she knew her and liked her, though they probably didn't see each other very much. Dottie also mentions that Kit travels around "with that husband of hers" (Again her daughter reminds her of his name). Obviously they have had communication, but just don't see each other very much. Dottie and Bob went back to Oregon and had a family. Kit probably continued playing in the league, possibly a few more years, and worked in whatever town she was playing in during the off season. Eventually she married and had a family, but was probably in the Midwest, which is where the league was and where she would have met her husband. Kit had no interest in going back to Oregon (I'm nothing here."). Also very important to note, when they part after the game, they are on great terms.

Kit may have been surprised that Dottie came, but more because she knew her sister didn't think playing in the league was that big of a deal, unlike all the other girls. I think their reunion was more joy and happiness at being together to remember this great time in their lives. Also worth noting: Kit's family immediately recognizes Aunt Dottie.
