McCallisters dont own bathroom locks?

Theyre super wealthy... but they cant afford locks on their bathroom doors?

-Uncle Frank needs to warn Kevin that if he walks in on him, Kevin will never be a real man.
-Peter instructs Kevin to grab his tie from the bathroom....get in and get out.
-Kevin does indeed sneak in and record Uncle Frank in the bathroom.

Everyone involved seems to have an automatic expectation that the bathroom door will not be locked. Uncle Frank even has to pre-warn Kevin and Peter says to do it anyway without a second thought.

Where i live and am from, boys shower with their fathers in public when they go swimming or they are naked together in the sauna. I've never understood why Americans are seemingly so sensitive about boys seeing naked men. Like in the movie Airplane! where the pilot asks Joey if he has ever seen a grown man naked. I could understand a boy seeing a naked woman is an issue of course, but a naked man just seems weird.

Because in some countries, grown men and boys do not get naked together. It's not a matter of being "sensitive" it's about not accepting relations like that between children and adults. Just like in the US, a grown man marrying a 12-year-old girl is not considered "normal" by normal people.
Yes, some cults here do it, but I said normal people.

Yeah, I get that some cultures are more open to nudity than others. The French are pretty open to it while Muslims refuse to shower in locker rooms without underwear on. So they clash obviously.

I could see the objection to a boy seeing a woman naked because then he might become aroused. Most boys wouldn't be aroused from seeing a naked man, unless they're gay, and then I dare say even less so at the sight of their father or uncle, lol.

It may not have a lock on the door because wasn't it the bathroom (ensuite) that was connected to Buzz room?

I do know people who do not allow children to have locks on doors.
