The first and ONLY Aaron Sorkin written thing I've throughly enjoyed...

Yep, Sorkin's FIRST film was BY FAR his BEST one.

It's only been downhill since then!

His latest films are particularly annoying because the person he has as his "casting director" must be on some SERIOUSLY messed up drugs to cast the roles the way she does in Sorkin's movies. Michael Fassbender as Steve Jobs! J.K Simmons as William Frawley!

I guess we're fortunate that Sorkin's present-day "team" wasn't around in the early 90s, or we would have gotten Rick Moranis as Col. Jessup!

Majorly flawed take.

Sorkin didn't direct or cast this.

And you can't compare the casting of fictional characters to that of a film based on real people.

Not an apples to apples comparison. This is apples to lamps.

I LOVE LAMP!

I am not sure if he has been working with the same casting directors for most of is projects. But I do find that I enjoy his writing about fictional characters more then real life ones.

There can be a thing as "too Sorkin". Even though I love it, The Newsroom comes to mind.

And my favorite that he wrote, The Social Network, was "de-Sorkinized" from collaboration with Fincher.
