Why did the babysitter take it so hard when Alice fired her?

I'm sure the babysitter will be able to find work babysitting someone else.

She was probably just worried about her reputation.

maybe the babysitter thought it was Emily's fault that she came close to drowning in the pool, I also don't get why the babysitter claims that her children need a little discipline.

I see, I always thought Ryce, Ted and Emily are good, well behaved children, I do noticed Ryce got very pissed off at the babysitter for wanting to keep it a secret about Emily coming close to drowning in the pool.
