Something eerie as hell that I noticed in the final scene (spoilers)

Howdy, folks. I just re-watched this for the first time in years. When I got to the last scene where LT gets in his car outside the bus station, there is a large sign in the background that says "Trump Plaza" that also has a picture of Evander Holyfield and Bill Cosby on it - this gave me chills. In recent years, we found out that Bill Cosby has been a serial rapist for decades and we know that Trump has said some really slimy remarks where he jokes about sexual violence (IE - the infamous bus video with Trump and Billy Bush from 2005). Also, Evander Holyfield - while he never got involved with any situations that involved sexual violence, he was viewed as a potentially active user of performance enhancing drugs (this was never fully proven, yet the entire thing is fishy). So yeah, sexual violence and drug use are one of the two primary elements of this film's story, the fact that those three public figures are referenced by sign during the last scene of the films is certainly eerie to me in lots of ways. Your thoughts?

Heh, you're looking at it all from a perspective that goes beyond 1992, the year the film was released and a lot of it is now viewable from a modern perspective with a little bit of hindsight and a lot of INTERNET, which in itself was NOT much if AT ALL around that time period.

It also inevitably and perhaps unwittingly reveals something about the common aspect and the frequency and patterns of the aforementioned issue of "sexual violence" that this film deals with and to a lesser or more extent "drugs" but then both are common in life itself and yes even famous people are not excluded from it either, unfortunately.

Well said, I just wanted to add that adding a "conspiracy theory" amount of hindsight to a movie that is almost 30 years old not only made me lol but gave me Qanon vibes

I said nothing about any conspiracy theories here. If you read my original post, it is quite clear that I am simply stating these eerie coincidences have a "harsher in hindsight" element to them.

drug use??!!?!? drug use is badasss ur just a lame ass square. i never would use performance enhancing drugs since i like my ballsack big and strong but if ur getting paid big bucks to hit a ball around and u gotta perform i cant judge what u gotta do to do what you gonna have to do
