Yeah, that's a great episode. The dragon and Mrs Gribble's "THERE'S NO SUCH THING AS DRAGONS" are highlights of that episode as well. Really difficult to pick a favourite episode as they're so many classic ones.

From season 1 i like the first episode Skeleton On The Dunny, the Spaghetti Pig Out one, Gum Leaf Wars where Linda has the busted nose, Wunderpants, Lucky Lips, Without My Pants and the last episode Lighthouse Blues.

And from season 2 mt favorites are the first episode where Pete gets hypnotized to act like a chicken, the Mongolian Cat Hat one, the Merman episode Nails, the episode where, Yuckles, the Quivering Heap episode where Pete gets locked in the public toilet with the punk ghost and the finale episode Seeing The Light.

I really need to buy series 3 and 4 sometime. I've been re-watching series 3 on C5 on UK tv recently and the best episodes so far are the episode with the tree spirit girl, the Viking Book Of Love episode and the episode where Pete and Mr Gribble switch bodies after both going in that circus machine type thing.

I really can't remember much about series 4 it's been so long since i've seen it. The only specific episode i recall is the one where Bronson has the monster under his bed feeding off the dirt and his filthy socks and undies.

That mermaid episode - it freaked me out with the multiple and nails and everything - actually gave me nightmares as a kid

reply

the scarecrow episode gave me nightmares too

ive grown up with round the twist and i have the first 4 episodes ever on video!!!!

reply

the scarecrow was really scary but another episode that gave me the creeps was the one where bronson kept having dreams about his cousin... i think her name was Terry and she would tie him up and melt the ice sculptures and stuff and she threw like paint balls or ice cream or something at him and she had this hysterical laugh it was creepy for me when i was little haha...

reply

All i can remeber, (and my favs) are the copycat-hat, the one and were the older brother gives birth (via mouth) to a tree baby

reply

It's very hard to pick one out so I've chosen two!

Yuckles and Smelly Feet were the two that sprung to mind.

reply

The Mongolian Cat Hat episode was certainly a very memorable one (seeing as how I and almost everyone else has mentioned it) but the one which really sticks out for me was that which involved a fox fur that came alive. /Very/ similar to the kind of supernatural stories, in xxxHOLiC and various folklores, which I enjoy reading today.

THE EPISODE FROM SEASON 1 CALLED "WUNDER PANTS" WAS THE GREATEST EPISODE EVA!! ITS THE ONE WHEN PETE PUTS HIS UNDIES IN THE MICROWAVE N THEY SHRINK SO HE PUTS THEM ON A FROG!! ITS HILLARIOUS!!

reply

Grandads Gifts! I loved that episode so much. I remember actually getting a tear in my eye when Linda was crying because the Fox wouldnt get his eyesight.

reply

one that sticks out for me is the one where they are have a frog race??? and this cainetoad eats the frog? i think its off season 1 i'm not sure. but yeah nails was a pretty dramatic one for me too. with out my pants was pretty funny also.

reply

I've just bought up all the DVDs and had fond memories of the dafter episodes, like Wonderpants and Copycat, so was really suprised by how sweet the last ep of series 1, 'Lighthouse Blues' turned out to be - the look on Nell's face when they're playing Danny Boy was really great acting!

reply

Definitely 'Without My Pants' without my pants!

I love that one without my pants! =)

everybody's working for the weekend

reply

and the cabbage patch baby...it was green!

reply

The best episode ever was when Pete got pregnant by pissing on a tree. Then he had a tree baby.

reply

I like the skeleton on the dunny. Especially where you can spot the clown on the toilet in the painting at the end. Funny! :P

reply

Lucky Lips! Pete's pulpy daydream at the start is awesome, same with Wunder Pants where Pete kicks open the door hell heroically just as Gribs has won the frog race. That reminded me of Bad Taste that did lol, where he is all silhouetted. But basically every episode in series 1 is awesome :D

Season One: 'Without My Pants', where the bones make everyone cry and Pete ends every sentence with "...without my pants."

Season Two: 'Pink Bow Tie', the one where Pete and the bullies come across a machine that can age people backwards and forwards, and the whole thing takes place on a ferry.

Season Three: 'Toy Love', where Linda's doll haunts her. Mostly because it's the one where Gribbs falls in love with Linda, and it's hysterical.

Season Four: 'Face The Fear', where Gribbs teaches Bronson how to become rich. The whole season was kinda disappointing, though.

Why...so...serious?

Personally I really loved the Without My Pants epi. I don't remember much from the show since it's been many years since I've seen it, but that episode always stuck in my head for some reason! It's also hilarious the way he can't stop saying "Without my pants" at the end of each sentence!

Rediscovered this show about a year ago, have watched every ep since on ABC3, best TV show for kids ever.

Anyway.

Season 1 and 2 are much better than 3 and 4, particularly liked season 1 (second Linda and Pete seemed a tad young for the role).

Best episode I think was Lighthouse Blues, really well done episode of drama, moving in parts and still had the trademark moment of humour. The second half of that season seemed to be where they really hit their stride, The Copy is probably my other favourite episode but all those around then (without my pants, lucky lips, wunderpants, know all) were great. Grandads Gifts from the second season was also excellent, as was pink bow tie and yuckles

reply

I cant remember them all, but the one where pete's mouth shrinks haha

vote for pedro!

Too many great ones to pick a favourite! Although I will say that my favourite line is in Quivering Heap: Bronson is heard throughout practising his solitary line in the school play - he has to answer the phone and say 'It's for you Master'. He practises numerous different ways of saying it - loud, soft, different emphasis, different stress etc etc. Then when the big monent arrives, the phone rings, he answers it and says.... 'Hello, Bronson Twist speaking' !

Brilliant!

Nicko. That is brilliant. You've just made a 34 year old man burst out laughing in an office. I remember that episode clear as day. I really should get round to rewatching all of these again. I'm a child at heart.

Hey, you've got 10 years on me! I'm fortunate to have a sister around your age: she was my excuse for watching early 90s kids TV programmes!

Hah! I was surprised to see I'd had it for so long when some of the comments from the old imdb board had been ported over.

Watched a few of them with my son in the last couple of weeks and he's loving them. It's still appealing to my childish sense of humour too. Brutal eating the cow pat in Copy Cat and Gribbs copying him has been the biggest highlight so far I think. :D

reply

Yeah Ive been thinking about watching some episodes again since I noticed they were on Netflix. Used to love watching them when I was a youngen.

reply

Little Black Balls from series two, seeing Bronson drinking custard through a chicken bone was just classic.

reply

I didn't see all of the episodes but the one that sticks in my mind most is in which there is a frog race and someone brings a toad that starts eating the frogs. I found it really disturbing.

Looking at the posts above I think it must be 'Wunder Pants'
