I saw her in Outlaws first too and thought she was quite good value even if it was as a side character. I'm stunned at her managing the Scottish accent so well in this. I genuinely wasn't sure which her real one was having seen both shows until I looked it up. I wondered this too. It actually didn't occur to me until a few episodes in that he was missing. I was so taken with the Mickleberry story it kinda passed me by and that was allowing for all the (obvious looking back on it) "we'll just call you Andy" type jokes in the first episode. I think they tried to cover that with the water being off entirely. I thought the same when the toilet wouldn't flush. When they showed the shower and the taps not working, I think that was the reason for it. Hope she washed her hands though! :-o A friend of mine saw it last night and thinks it's possibly the worst film he's ever seen at the cinema. Comedy can be subjective and a lot of the time, how much you enjoy a film can be down to your mood of the night. However, what I heard of it, marks it out as awful. That's me just seeing it for the first time last night and I entirely agree with both these points. It's not meant to be an outright comedy. It's just about a comic / comedian. There were a few laughs in it all the same but I thought it was a pretty decent story told about a flawed character. Possibly because after any natural disease, gun crime is the leading killer in the US so there's a fair chance it's what the FBI will be investigating when it comes to a majority of crimes in their remit? It wasn't a cover was it? I love Strangers When We Meet as the OP suggets. There's a Buddah of Suburbia version too which is different from the Outside take. They're both fantastic. I started listening to Outside a few years ago having initially dismissed it other than SWWM and Hallo Spaceboy... A Small Plot Of Land is a great track on it. The album wasn't all that well received at the time...I think it just came out 20 years too early! Thought she was great. Really enjoyed watching her. Looks like that was true right enoug and it's only now the death has been registered that it could be confirmed. View all replies >
