"Big Wednesday" (1978) meets "Lethal Weapon" (1987) with a bit of "Dog Day Afternoon" (1975) on the side?

Do we agree that this description mostly applies to this film - "Point Break" (1991)? Thanks.

And also yeah in "Big Wednesday" Gary Busey appeared too.

And although the movie is say less action packed and typically heroic than "Lethal Weapon" (though one segment involving the raid on that house with local drug dealers undeniably comes close, and Reeves' character shoots and kills a few of them as well!) and other typical action movies, however its qualities are, or at least it tries to be, this comparison is a bit valid here too.

And "Dog Day Afternoon" comparison is valid in a way as that movie deals with a bank robbery and this movie deals with it too.

Agree? Thanks.

There's also shades of "The Lost Boys (1987)."

Possibly a little bit but then "The Lost Boys" was mostly a fantasy horror flick whereas those flicks, albeit fictional and highly exaggerated, were mostly grounded in reality and set in the real world.

Not to mention the fact that "Dog Day Afternoon" (1975) was based on a true story.
