on prime. And it's been a LONG time since I read the book.

There's a part in the movie where the husband says he was fired before leaving for Iran. Does anyone know if this actually happened? And was it true, or did he lie and actually quit before leaving?

I think he lied and quit his job. His whole plan was to move to Iran with his family.
