The Irony


The lyrics to the song "My Girl" by The Temptations has a line that goes I've got so much honey, the bees envy me.

And I think we all know what happened to Thomas J in this film.

Anyway, was that intended, did the producers pick that song and the title of the film because of that line? Or did they just pick the song for the nostalgia of it and its association with the era the film takes place in?
