A black lesbian doc gets stuck in a small southern town and she convinces female ambulance driver Lou to come to the dark side.
But then she discovers Lou is actually a trans woman. Together, they overcome sexism and racism and turn the citizens from red to blue.
I hope they don't remake this movie, but I would watch a movie about an interracial romance between a lesbian doctor and a trans ambulance driver.

-more entertainment options so people are going to the movies less
-films come to streaming and vod a lot faster than before so there is less urgency to go to the theater
-lack of originality/creativity, too many sequels, remakes and similar films
-movies have huge budgets and can't make enough to make a profit

Because the woke movies in theaters bomb so fast studios move them to streaming faster to try and recoup their lost revenue.
