That a lot of the film adaptations of family friendly TV shows from the 60s and 70s that came out in the 90s (Addams Family, Brady Bunch, Beverly Hillbillies) often had a villain who was trying to rip off the family? Seriously why would these movies based on family sitcoms need a bad guy?

True, it just seems like an odd choice considering the source material was a family sitcom, that’s like having an embezzling subplot in a Flintstones movie oh wait.....
