I just re-watched it now as an adult. Disappointing!

I still love it, but what disappoints me is that I don't find it rewatchable anymore as I did when I was little, and the actions were a bit too short than I expected. I also never noticed how Kevin's family were horrible to him and there were few plot holes as well.

This movie used to be one of my favorite childhood movies, but I do consider it just a good movie as an adult. Does anyone feel the same thing?

After all of these years I still love this movie because it was the very first movie I saw in the theaters & drive in, it was also the last Christmas gift I've gotten from my grandmother just before she died so it has a sentimental value to me, I didn't realize how horrible Kevin's family (mainly Kate, Buzz and Uncle Frank) were to him until in the recent years, after all of these years it's still one of my all time favorite Christmas movies.

To me the best performances of the film goes to Joe Pesci and Daniel Stern as the bumbling burglars.
