Is he a Democrat or Republican? It doesn't appear mentioned but maybe I just missed it.

I say Democrat like Hillary Clinton.

He is shady, shady deals, slimy...yep, typical Democrat.

Nah, sounds more like a Republican. Shady deals, slimy, plus he put emphasis on "lower taxes" a popular Republican talking point. Plus, California was pretty Red at the time this movie takes place. Either a Republican or a Conservative Democrat.

Thats easy. He had to have been a Republican. He also looked so much alike as that Col Stuart guy in Die Hard 2. They could be brothers

It's in the movie millsey, Trent is a Democrat. And you can take that, to the bank!
