Who would you like as a Guest Presenter?

Who would you like as a Guest Presenter?
Anyone in the world..

I would like Angus back for a stint and Mark Lamarr....Lamarr would be so cool.
Has paxman ever done it, if not then him too.

reply

David Tennant hosts, and John Barrowman and Catherine Tate (or whoever the current companion is) as guest stars.

I'd love to see Fry present this, but following Angus' sacking, Fry's not doing ths show again, which is a great shame.

Two fantastic suggestions I've read on here so far are Mark Lamarr and Simon Pegg, they'd be great hosts. Some of my personal favourites would be Dave Gorman, David Tennant, Jonathan Ross and Dylan Moran, although the chances of Moran doing this show are pretty slim.

I'd also love to see Brian Blessed come back again. His show was absolutely legendary, probably the best one since Angus' last.

I'd like to see Michael McIntyre presenting if he hasn't already, he always makes me laugh.

reply

Dylan Moran would be hilarious - I wouldn't have thought of him, but he would be very funny. But as you say, he'd never do it.
I'm not sure about Simon Pegg - I think he's very funny - I love Spaced, but I'm not sure if he'd work.
I thought Damien Lewis was very funny as host, which I hadn't expected. Boris was a great host. I think it's so much better to have someone who isn't a comedian in the middle simply because they get given their jokes and their job is to allow the others to make jokes. If the host mugs for too much attention it detracts from the competition. Like I preferred Jimmy Carr as a guest to a host.

reply

My dream host would be if they could get Jon Stewart over for an episode.
Maybe John Oliver as one of the guests.

Arnold Schwarzenegger would be something quite different to the show if he was pannel host, wouldn't he be lol?

Arnold Schwarzenegger wouldn't be able to read the autocue.

Bill Oddie, with Tim and Graeme in the guest seats (so sue me, I'm a lifelong Goodies fan).

Clive Anderson - knows the format (loved If I Ruled The World) and the subject matter.

Patrick Stewart - probably wouldn't know what he was talking about, but it would sound great!

Nick Hancock - great host of Room 101, though for god's sake, not the 'they're the only ones show don't understand the offside rule' routine again!

Mark Lamarr - could keep up with the other two.

Colin Baker - the great 6th Doctor, also writes a column for his local paper and keeps up with the news.

Lots more but need to get back and do some actual work. :)

Graham Norton! That would be great.

I would pick BRIAN BLESSED

reply

I really enjoyed Benedict Cumberbatch last night, would love to see him return.

Marcus Brigstocke would be fun too.

De gustibus non est disputandum.

reply

I liked Benedict Cumberbatch too and Damian Lewis (or was that Mock the Week?)!

Jimmy Carr, Frankie Boyle, David Mitchell,...

And of course George Osborne & David Cameron: let the slaughter begin

reply

Was thinking Russell Brand or someone like Seth Rogan or Jonah Hill. Lindsay Lohan maybe. Think of the fun they will have with them

reply

Russell Brand was in Series 34 Episode 08, on Ian's team. It is on YouTube.

reply

Michael Winner. He'd be terrible, but it would be oh so funny to see him ribbed by Ian and Paul. That's asuming he's not too senile these days.
