It's like they were aiming for a Star Wars in-joke.

Yeah, but I bust out laughing every time. Movie's are entertainment and the scene entertains. Plus it's not like it's unbelievable -- I was walking thru my yard one day and stepped on the claws of a rake hidden in the grass and -- wham -- got smacked right in the face.
