Who is the target audience for this?

So I watched this last night. It's on Hulu. I wanted to watch something stupid, but fun. I hadn't seen this in years, so I was excited. It did not disappoint. It's stupidity is glorious.

But as I'm watching it, I'm thinking to myself, "Who the fuck is this movie made for?" The Hulkster image - despite being another name - is in full effect. The innocence, being a good guy for the sake of it - unlike today - doing charity, being hokey, etc.

But this movie has some bizarrely dark moments; for what seems to be a kids movie. There's several references to sex, Joan Severance in her undies, an attempted rape, and two deaths by the end of the movie; and deaths over a "sport". It's a shitty hokey movie, but it's strangely dark at times.

Which Rocky movies have an attempted rape, two murderers/violent deaths, and Rocky stopping crimes?

Dookie was definitely Vince. You can see some WWE storylines in this movies.

I suspect in Vince McMahon's mind this was a four-quadrant Blockbuster. Ultimately though, I suppose this was primarily aimed at the kids\young teens who bought WWF toys. Bear in mind this was the era where kids were part of the audience and consumer base for ultra-violent films like Rambo, Robocop, Terminator and even the Elm Street films. This is pretty tame compared to a lot of stuff kids were into at the time.

I'd say 65 y/o and up
