Probably the best adaptation of Shakespeare ever to grace the screen, this is a magnificent directing debut by Kenneth Branagh who carries the movie from beginning to end. The casting is inspired, the music is breathtaking throughout, the key scenes are brilliantly executed particularly the St Crispin's Day speech in which Branagh's delivery is head and shoulders above that of Laurence Olivier's earlier rendition. The battle scene isn't over the top in terms of gore but it still leaves the viewer in no doubt as to the true horror of hand to hand combat, mercifully without CGI. The aftermath of the battle and the accompanying music makes for one of the most tearjerking scenes I've ever witnessed on film. This is a magnificent movie in every respect, I can't recommend it highly enough.

This means something, this is important.

I could only understand 80% of the movie but I still enjoyed it 7/10

Not a good movie. A great one. I would have thought this movie a certain Best Picture Oscar nominee. Nope. But neither did Glory of the same year.
