I remember when this came out. Saw it at a drive-in and in a theater. Just loved it and back then it really was something special, however, it just doesn't stand up to time.
I do need to watch it again from start to finish, but from just seeing snippets again it sort of loses its magic.
I still enjoy cheesy and classic 60s, 70s and 80s movies. The camara style in this movie and one liners is nothing like the Dark Knight trilogy but it still a fun classic to watch in my opinion.
shareI do need to go back and watch it again and here is an odd thing - when it came out the filming and set design and all that was just seen as remarkable and just knocked your socks off and in ways, it was a film not seen before (one has to remember, the main live action perception most often referenced to Batman was the tv show, so in contrast, the movie was out of this world) - but if seen today, one would have to more align it to the tv show than the most recent movies, otheriwise the specialness of the 82 flick is undermined because it really had more in common with the tv show than the latest flicks.
That's funny...
I saw Dark Knight when it first came out...and it doesn't really hold that well either.
