Would Laura Marry Urkel in Real Life?

IMHO, no marriage because he would've remained in the friend zone.

Laura marries a normal guy whom she divorces after a few kids and years. Urkel becomes slightly less nerdy and has a happy long-lasting marriage to a sweet woman. Urkel and Laura remain supportive friends forever. Perhaps their children fall in love and marry which would be nice.

I wouldn't mind seeing a spin-off, but Jaleel White has likely moved on from the character. Maybe a TV movie?

Well, I know I always felt that he should have stayed with Myra.

Myra was a much better match for him. Laura is a nice and respected lady, but in the long run, she may lose respect for Steve because he keeps flattering her, and women don't typically respect this type of behavior from men. His obsession with Laura had to stop for his own good. On the other hand, Myra has no ego and doesn't hesitate to pursue Steve. Additionally, it's a matter of taste, but Michelle Thomas is prettier than Williams.

It is really annoying how they tried to put Myra down just to make Laura look better.

reply

You right, they make Myra a little too manipulative and Laura as some kind of angel.
Myra deserves happiness, they were too much harsh with her.

I'm not sure how Arkel didn't give in to Myra's wooing much earlier. She was very skilled in the art of seduction.

Hard to say as some in real life as over the top as Urkel getting with someone like Laura seems like a stretch. Since for the most part she rejected him, I'd say no.

reply

Someone like Laura? She was as mid and plain as it gets...with poor fashion sense, who gets mogged hard by Myra.

reply

Average or whatever. Urkel is the one lusting after Laura.
