On the episode where a young boy gets questioned for stealing his neighbor's cigarette lighter, why on earth would the victim let a pre teen boy watch her baby while she's working at her job? I feel something seemed to be off with the victim if she was letting her young neighbors watch her baby while she's working.

It was from Kansas City (Season 10, episode 21)

In our society the poor do what they must to survive. But why would she complain about a cigarette lighter if the kid was doing her a favor? He probably felt it was contraband and she wouldn't give it to him. Not a major crime to fuck with the kid over if he was helping her out.
