Creepiest part.....

The clown outside the burger joint motioning for the little girl to come outside, with that big ass mallet behind his back.

I think what I find creepy about this is, it feels like a child kidnapping scenario - and that is every parent's worst nightmare. The child thinks the clown just wants to play, and we as the audience know otherwise. Also, all the other kills in the film have a fantastic, surreal edge to them ranging from intergalactic cotton candy cocoon guns, to having one's head bopped off with a single punch, to shadow puppets eating people. It was silly, it was imaginative. This clown though was going to clobber the little girl in what would obviously be a very violent, messy, real-life death.

Am I alone in finding this the creepiest and most disturbing scene in the movie? Office Mooney's ventriloquist scene was creepy too, but the fact that they used a little girl for the scene put it over the top. The little girl's mother also seemed so typical '80s with her hair and glasses - I swear it just has this surreal "Unsolved Mysteries" kidnapping-type look and feel. Like I can just picture the woman being interviewed in an old episode of Unsolved Mysteries talking about her missing daughter.

The calls are coming from inside the house.

Creepy yes but nothing else came of it.
