Do you ever feel bad for the characters?

I felt bad for some of the characters myself. I thought it was sad Amanda getting killed since she loved her daughter very much and especially how tragic it was for Tina loosing her mother so her then having both parents dead. I also bad for Russell since he seemed like a nice guy despite being uptight. Which who can blame him since David and a couple of others were wreaking his uncle's house. It was a shame seeing Maddy get killed as well since she seemed like a nice girl and she went out of her way to be nice to Tina. And most of all I felt the baddest of all for Sandra. She was a drop dead gorgeous blonde bombshell of a girl with a rocking body. She seemed like a very kind sweet girl two like Maddy since she seemed to go out of her way to be nice to Tina as well. And you could tell she thought it was mean how her friend Melissa was treating Tina. Like when Tina arrived the one morning and Melissa was cutting Tina down saying "Nice outfit looks like her mom dressed her." And Sandra saying "Melissa!" in a scolding manner like she thought she was being mean. And she tried to be a good girlfriend to Russell. Going out of her way to try to cheer him up since he was upset about how the house was looking. One thing I will say though is she did die in a sexy manner anyway. Her skinny dipping and Jason grabbed her foot and pulling her underwater and drowning her and seeing her sexy naked body pan across the screen when that happened. Not to mention her very sexy feet that she had pointed down like a ballerina or a gymnast which I thought was very sexy. Her still looking sexy even after they showed Jason drag her through the dirt after going ashore with her and one last time when they showed her by then dry and naked dirt covered body in the woods when Tina find her body along with Kate, Maddy and Russell. But yeah I loved Sandra and even made a fan story where she lives through the drowning that is on Deviant Art.com called Friday The 13th: The Survivor if anybody wants to read it.

It depends on the character, really. I definitely am sympathetic to some of them (Maddy in this one, for example). Others? Not so much (Melissa's my fav character of the movie... but she totally had an axe to the face coming)

In the entire series? Oh yeah, plenty. The wheelchair kid in Part 2. The guy who got killed in the outhouse in Part 5. Those two come to mind almost immediately. Now there's others that I was cheering when they died. Like the doctor in 7 or the old dude in 8 (the one Jason teleported into the building the guy was in to kill him).

Since I know heaps of characters are going to be killed off and that I'm watching a horror movie that's a bit cheesy, it doesn't dawn on me until later how terrifying some of these situations would be in real life. Especially characters who aren't expecting it at all.

Take Sandra for example. Having a great time with her boyfriend, probably no idea Jason even exists, goes skinny dipping, then pops her head out of the water to see her boyfriend WITH AN AXE HOLE IN HIS HEAD! Then drowned to death. Also Maddy. Been partying with her friends, trying to get David's attention, thinks she's going to pull him with her makeover and then she discovers a pile of dead bodies before being murdered herself! Or how about Nick finding his cousin dead and Tina finding her mother dead! I'd say I feel sorry for them.
