Animal abuse?

The scenes of the children burning the rabbit and then later the drowned rabbits look incredibly realistic, especially for a low budget Australian film. I can’t find anyone talking about it either way, didn’t see anything in the end credits about no animals being abused, but can’t find anyone accusing them of it either...anyone have any idea?

Yeah I'd like to know too.. I just watched it and found the scenes really realistic and disturbing.. The way the rabbit moved when they burned it.... and then the dead rabbits... the fur looked real, and the way their legs hung out while they carried them... didn't look like dolls... but they wouldn't make small child actors burn and carry dead rabbits around, would they...?

I’ve seen some pretty messed up Australian films with sick animal stuff unfortunately 😕

Same. Snowtown (2011) comes to mind. Hacking up a real kangaroo. That entire movie was horrific. Good movie. But not for the faint of heart.

I was thinking Wake in Fright, similar kangaroo stuff

Yeah! I just saw that one too. Both on Shudder. That's why I'm wondering lol
