DVD

Anyone know if AG will ever be released on DVD? I e-mail Lion's Gate Home Video last year and never heard back. I would KILL for it, just as Fanny did Jeff!

You can order it from deepdiscountdvd.com for pretty cheap! That's where I got mine! Good luck finding it!

Yeah, I got it from there also. It doesn't say it on the site, but it's fullscreen. I would've preferred widescreen, although this is better than nothing. The audio is 2.0 English or Spanish. No special features, but it is digitally mastered so the picture is better than VHS.

The region 2 dvd (just released last week) is anamorphic widescreen and looks somewhat sharper than the region 1 plus it's a budget title so could pick it up about £10. No extras though. This version is also uncut (just like the American release) as on video this film was slightly cut and retitled 'Hide and Shriek'.

"but it is digitally mastered..."

Yes, like every other movie on DVD. It's impossible to put a movie on DVD without digitally mastering it, since DVD is a digital format. Well, technically, a scheme could be devised to store analog video (and audio) on a DVD or any other optical disc (though it wouldn't work in any existing DVD player), but the standard DVD format can only store digital video (and audio).
