How did Lucy know that woman?

When Max first sees Lucy she finds a little boy who's lost and looking for his mom, she comes into Max's video store asking if shes in his store, the little boys mom comes in and finds him, we hear some chatter then we see Lucy saying "Alright by Terry" as if Lucy is good friends with that random woman.

I mean Lucy just moved there but she suddenly knows this random woman that lost her kid?
