Keep on your undies

It was serviceable until the live audience became a character in the shows. It was like when "Happy Days" live audience ruined that show.

God forbid but the live audience even threatened the original 39 episodes of "The Honeymooners."

I trust in [canned laughter]. I need it. I just do. I almost know the beat of the old shows canned laughter content as much as I do the damn lines. There are people who's canned response I recognize! I depend on that to sustain me when I watch the classics. There is a guy on the "The Mary Tyler Moore Show" that I count on and he ain't in the cast.
