Looking at Sammi Curr, I don't imagine him sounding like Fastway. I'm thinking more like Metallica or better yet, Mercyful Fate. That's my only problem with it.

I'd have to agree that Fastway's soundtrack doesn't exactly match the image of Sammi Curr that the filmmakers were trying for: an evil, satanic, heavy-metal "Rock's Chosen Warrior." The music and the lyrics of their songs seem too tame. That being said, I love this movie, I love the soundtrack, and I love Tony Fields's performance.

Mercyful Fate? This movie would be completely unwatchable. King Diamond's voice goes through your head like a F-ing knife. As for Metallica, it was 1986 when this movie came out. They hadn't sold out yet, so they wouldn't have done it.
shareFastway was good back in the day, but not for this movie. They seemed to have more of a mainstream metal sound than the hardcore metal that Eddie listened to just by looking at the posters on his wall. W.A.S.P would have been a better choice and they could have made a whole album based on the movie. Another one that comes to mind is Pantera. They were fairly new unheard of metal band at that time and look at em now.

I personally think that David King of Fastway's voice matched Sammi Curr more than King Diamond. The thought of King Diamonds falsettos coming outta Curr's mouth would look kinda funny. It was indeed a great great soundtrack! Still is.
On a side note, I'd say Kingdom Come or Great White is more of a commercial version of Led Zeppelin. Fastway is pretty obscure to the rock crowd. A lot of people in their 40's and 50's never heard of Fastway! LOL

The music was just fine to my thinking.It sounds reminds me of Twisted Sister.
I found nothing at all wrong with this movie.I never took it too seriously,and it was a riot to watch because of that.I think that if the producers and director thought that the lead character was meant to sound and look just as they made him.Not the way anyone else thinks he should look or sound. Fastway fits,perfectly,..just my own opinion.

Mercyful Fate while being a awesome band wouldn't work for the simple fact that Gene Simmons probably would of gotten his panties in a bunch over it.
