Could this film BE any funnier?

What can you say about the three amigos?

It is very funny, with some great one liners. I've liked this film since i first saw it when i was a kid and it is still just a funny today. great performances from the three leads and some truly hysterical moments. Surely "You killed the invisible swordsman" is the best bit of the film and is one of the funniest and most bizarre scenes in movie history.

What do you reckon?

"I'm in the god damn club aren't I?"

One of my favorite lines is at the end when Steve Martin says, "I will return someday" and Carmen says, "Why?"

"Can I have your watch when you are dead?"

"... I'll fill you so full of lead, you'll be using your d*** for a pencil."

I love the following scene:

Lucky Day: Reading telegram: "Three Amigos, Hollywood, California. You are very great. 100,000 pesos. Come to Santa Poco put on show, stop. The In-famous El Guapo."
Dusty Bottoms: What does that mean, in-famous?
Ned Nederlander: Oh, Dusty. In-famous is when you're MORE than famous. This man El Guapo, he's not just famous, he's IN-famous.
Lucky Day: 100,000 pesos to perform with this El Guapo, who's probably the biggest actor to come out of Mexico!
Dusty Bottoms: Wow, in-famous? In-famous?

Also love "good night, Ned!" by the turtle. Random and hilarious.

There are many hilarious parts in this movie, but there is also a lot of subtle humor as well. For some reason I always laugh when Jefe asks El Guapo "could it be because you are turning 40 today?" and El Guapo's "Naww" response, it always cracks me up. Someone mentioned this already, but the part where they are trying to distract the guard and end up knocking him out with a rock is one of the funniest parts in the movie 

YES! It could have been a LOT funnier, this film is LAME. There's only a few funny lines and moments, on the whole it's pretty disappointing for a Steve Martin & John Landis movie (made when both still had 'it')
