I'm kind of surprised that they didn't release this a little earlier. Especially to capitalize on Gremlins mania that was still going strong in 1985. New Line was big at rushing horror movies out in those days.

I wonder if there were a lot reshooting going on?

IMDB claims filming took place in the fall of 1984, but according to Wikipedia, summer 1985.

IMDB says July 1985 filming date. Release date was not until April 1986.
