How did you like Paul McCartney's title track to this movie?

How did you like Paul McCartney's title track to this movie? I personally thought it was annoying and goofy, I was surprised this song made the Top 10 considering you never come across this song on the radio at all, I never even heard of this song when it first came out and I've heard alot of songs that were on the Top 40 back in those days.

I thought it was a bit goofy and off the wall but it is an enjoyable and catchy song, Paul seemed to be having a good time performing that song

I thought it was horrible, and thats coming from a beatles fan.

I remember liking it at the time, it was fun and catchy. Listening to it now that I'm not a teenager, no, it's not very good. I think it was a hit back then mostly because of the video, Chevy Chase, Dan Ackroyd, and Paul Mccartney goofing around and funny scenes from the movie.

I loved the song, still do, since i was a kid in the 1980's watching this movie and the music video, which i haven't seen in years.

I'd have to say it's ok. Certainly enjoyable. I remember hearing this on trailers for the film before it came out.

I wouldn't put it up there with some of his better solo songs. It's a shame this was his last top ten US single. I thought he did better songs before (Junior's Farm, Coming Up, Take It Away, No More Lonely Nights -- all of which were top ten singles between 1974 and 1984), and after (My Brave Face should have been a top ten hit in 1989 when it came out.....).

When I try to compare solo Beatles songs I do it against each of their solo careers.

Although nothing could ever match what the Beatles did as a group.

Sorry for the long explanation. :-)

I also thought "My Brave Face" should've been in the Top 10, I thought it was one of the best songs Paul has done in the eighties

I do feel if it wasn't for this song "My Brave Face" would've been a Top 5 smash hit.
